Seminar with Principal Psychologist of Mental Health ACT

Hi all!

Now that classes have returned, our next seminar in our seminar series "Psychology... what next?" will be held!

When? 6pm on Wednesday the 12th of August.

Who? Our speaker is Keith Baker, Director of Psychological Therapies and Principal Psychologist of Mental Health ACT. Keith's interests include forensic psychology and eating disorders.

And remember there will be free wine and a lovely cheese platter to enjoy after the speech!

Seminar at the University of Canberra

Dear all,


Our friends, the University of Canberra Psychology Student Society, are holding a seminar next week!



When? 7pm Tuesday 28th of July

Where? Room 2a6 at UC


Who? Lisa Kelly from Headspace ACT


Headspace ACT is a new early intervention service for young people aged 12 to 25 years with mild to moderate mental health and/or substance use issues. headspace has been created to provide a new service model that better responds to the needs of young people. It draws together a multidisciplinary team to work collaboratively to meet the holistic needs of young people. Lisa Kelly is the Service Integration Manager at headspace ACT and will be talking about the evolution of headspace including the latest stats about young people, what it is like working in a multidisciplinary team and strategies for working effectively with young people. She will also talk about working in private practice as a psychologist and the changing face of psychology. Lisa has extensive experience in working with young people and in establishing high quality services and she will share stories about working with this challenging age group.
